There are variety of monsters in both ObsCure and ObsCure II. The most common encountered in Obscure are monsters that resemble ribs and mutated students. There are more larger fiends that have different appearances.
Note: While the official names for most of the creatures in ObsCure 1 are known, some are not very clear, and for the ones in ObsCure 2 we only know the internal names used in the code.
Catatonic student with a ragged orange t-shirt. He has several surgery scars and wounds. Will stand idling unless the player provokes him, at which point he will bring out a knife and attack. Can also be found sitting on a chair in the dormitories, where he will die in one hit and won't attack the player.
A cloud of black spores. It can be found in the basement at the start of the game, where it can't harm the player and won't move. Another one will be found later in the library, where it can harm the player and will attempt to follow them. It's also present around all other mortifilia creatures, serving as protection. Can only be dissipated by light.
Appear once coming out of a vent in the library, where they only serve as a jumpscare and won't harm the player. The Reine boss can also throw them out to attack the player.

The next form of evolution of the infected students. Most of their skin is completely gone, leaving only a skeleton with the bare minimum of muscles needed for its body to function. It's very slow but also quite powerful and resistant to damage. It slashes the player with its claws and can sometimes decapitate them with its tentacles.
The ultimate mutation of the Mortifilia. After being injected with the spores and being exposed to the sunlight, Leonard was kept hiding in the school's basement for over a century, where he mutated to great lengths. He can't move by itself and has grown many giant roots on his body, which he uses to attack the player. In his first fight, he creates a massive aura of black spores that can instantly kill the player unless protected by sunlight.
Can't be normally found in the game, only his texture is left in the files. Has many surgery wounds around his body, what seems like green pus or scars and a tattoo on his right arm, similar to Matt from the second game.
Catatonic student with black skin and a white tank-top. Similarly to the 4th infected student, he has many surgery wounds. He can only be found in the dormitory sitting on a chair, dies in one hit and doesn't attack the player.
A pink-colored corpse of a Grimpeur. Aside from the color, the fetus is also smaller and the umbilical cord is shorter. It can be found on an operating table in the basement.
Tadpole
Gardens
A strange tadpole or fish-like creature that can be seen swimming in the river that passes under the bridge in the gardens. It cannot be interacted with. Uses a brick texture that's hard to see in the game, since it's underwater.
Giant tadpole
Gardens
Similar to the other tadpole creature, but appears much less frequently and is slower.
Mutated females that have lost all human features, save for their basic shape, and have grown to a grotesque obese form. It attacks the player with its giant arm, and can instantly kill them with it at times. It has a decent amount of health, more than the evolved infected students, but not as much as the Homme Arbres.
Small, spider-like creatures with eyes and a mouth. They replace the mordeurs from the first game. They can either bite the player or crawl onto them, attempting to strangle them in the process. They can be spawned by the Mother.
Mutated males that resemble a more muscular version of the evolved infected students. Their head has been completely lost and overtaken by the tentacles. They're very fast and agile and attack the player by slashing or ramming them.
Mutated females that have lost their arms and have developed giant mouths that run from their face to the bottom of their body. They use their hair to fly freely around the area. They attack the player by stomping them with their legs, or they may also try to strangle them with their giant mouths.
Mutated pregnant students that have can give birth to an endless amount of progenerateds. Its main method of attack is grabbing the player with an umbilical cord, similar to the grimpeurs from the first game, and they will attempt to drag them into her insides.
A mutated Kenny after he succumbed to the effects of the Mortifilia. His body grew vastly in size and developed a large tumour on his back. He can throw spores at the player or attack them with his arms.
The surviving evolved infected students from the first game. They've adapted to the new version of the Mortifilia, adopting a paler skin tone and becoming more resistant to light, but also becoming less agile in the process. They possess the same attacks as in the first game.
The surviving Homme Arbres from the first game. Similarly to the evolved infected students, they've adapted to the new Mortifilia, adopting a paler skin tone (and regenerating their flesh, seemingly) and becoming weaker. They attack in similar ways to the first game.
Surviving the events of the first game, Leonard, or what's left of him, is badly damaged and very weak. He has been patched up by his son, Jedidiah. He can attack the player by stomping them with its roots, and also create waves in the ground by hitting it. After all but the last root have been destroyed, it will grab the player's foot to try and prevent them from cutting off his last root.
The son of Leonard Friedman. He was conceived after Leonard had already been infected by the Mortifilia, and he developed tumours and other mutations because of it. Despite his mental state being heavily affected by his mutations, he also has great strength and resistance, being able to witstand more firepower than even Leonard was in the events of the second game. He uses his chainsaw to attack the player.
