Mei Wang is a playable character in ObsCure II. She was a cheerful and perky young woman that originally came from New York.[citation needed] Mei is a student from Fallcreek University who occupies room 117 of the dormitory with her twin sister, Jun.

Mei had shoulder length black hair with a blue tint. She has a labret piercing under her lips. She wear a burnt orange hibiscus print halter top. Her pants are dark gray with blue swirl outlines and has an orange belt that hangs. For accessories, she wears blue knit short arm warmers. She wears orange sneakers like her sister. She also has a tattoo of a cat under a moon and star on her left shoulder.

"A beautiful young Asian girl but sweet as sour candy; Mei Wang is a hardcore gaming fanatic. Jun, her twin sister whom she adores, is her only rival in this field. Mei also has a bad habit of hacking all communication and security devices that pass within range of her PDA. Life is the most thrilling game of all to Mei, and her favorite playing partner is Corey."

Mei and her sister Jun are very close to each other, as children they feared the dark and used to tell horror stories and then hide in a wardrobe; Mei would do anything for her sister, also because in her Mei sees herself again. She does not hesitate to put her life at risk when Jun finds herself in danger, not stopping in front of anything. Both have a characteristic lucky charm, Mei's is in the shape of a penguin. Mei's secret ambition was that she had loved Jun simply because it is like "looking in the mirror".

She is Corey Wilde's girlfriend, whose relationship is often undermined by his passion for his car. However, their relationship is very strong, despite the irresponsible and at times neurotic behavior of the boy.

Mei is also a great friend of Sven Hansen and Amy Brookes and is very popular on campus, so much so as to meet several members of the ΔΘГ.

Brave and very intelligent Mei is a computer enthusiast, she spends her free time pirating computers and playing video games, her only rival in this field is her sister Jun.

Aptitude

Her peculiar ability is to be able to pirate any computer system with her trusty handheld as an expert hacker. This leads to a trial-and-error hacking minigame to guess the right letters of a password.

Story

ObsCure II

In 2005, Mei Wang, a student of the University of Fallcreek, together with her boyfriend Corey Wilde, her sister Jun and friends Sven Hansen and Amy Brookes, decided to take part in one of the exclusive parties of the student brotherhood ΔΘГ which celebrates its 200th year. On the afternoon of February 23, Mei and Corey go to room 200 of the dormitory, that of Sven, where he makes them try a new light drug obtained with black flowers that recently appeared on campus and which bloom only at night.

The effect of the drug, however, causes Mei a nightmare in which she and Corey are wandering around a cemetery where they find their own gravestones that claim how both died for their faults: Mei for the excessive adoration for her sister and Corey in anger. Among the tombs, however, they see a sinister figure with a sack inside which there seems to be a girl who desperately asks for help. Mei and Corey chase them through an underground where they are approached by visions of Jun, Sven and finally Amy; the latter with the abdomen torn above the petal of a huge flower, while claiming that its beauty is of a type that men can never possess. In that instant some of the walls collapse causing some to enter spiders and two Big Monsters devouring Mei's head, despite Corey trying to help her.

Mei then wakes up in her dorm room, realizing that she has had a nightmare; she is soon joined by Corey who brings her a caffeinated drink to recover. The two decided to go to the brotherhood party leaving Jun, exhausted after taking the drug, on campus. Arriving by car to the headquarters of the ΔΘГ, however, the two find mutilated corpses just outside the building and, while Mei proposes to flee, Corey decides to continue to find out what happened. They thus enter the headquarters of the ΔΘГ making sure that it is now populated by terrifying monsters, due to the mutation of the students caused by Mortifilia, the plant that generated the flowers that appeared on campus. They manage to reach a bookshop, below which they meet Amy, Kenny Matthews (who arrived shortly before the party and miraculously escaped the mutation) and Prof. Richard James (professor of biology at the university and mentor of the confraternity). Together with Kenny, Corey makes his way through the building and the two manage to reach the exit. Once outside, the kids are joined by Sven Hansen, but a student about to change steals Corey's car to escape; the latter, given his adoration for this machine, chases him angry with Amy while Kenny goes to the hospital following a malaise due to abstinence from his drugs.

Meanwhile, Mei is contacted via walkie-talkie by Jun who has barricaded herself in her room after the monsters started to claim victims on campus. Mei tells her sister to hide and, together with Sven, returns to the dormitory to help her. Once in place, the two make their way through the horribly changed students and are forced to access the dormitory through a window because the electrical system of the main door has been destroyed. When they reach Jun's room, the two see Jun being thrown out of a window by a huge Amorphous who then rages on them. Survived the clash and returned to the ground floor, the kids follow the movements of Jun, who survived the fall and is now imprisoned in the basement, by the circuit of cameras. Jun manages to open the doors so that the two can reach her but arrive too late, finding her horribly mutilated by monsters. Sven retrieves the keys to Jun's car while Mei, desperate, shakes her sister's hand crying.

After taking her weight away, Sven drives to the hospital with Mei, still hard-hit by the loss, where Corey, Amy and Richard are waiting for them. Arrived on the spot, the five try to manufacture dynamite in order to access the hospital warehouse from which they could take an ambulance to escape. Having managed to break down a wall and access the warehouse, however, the group is attacked by Kenny who, given to the infection of Mortifilia, has completely changed and become a monster devoid of humanity. Sven, Amy and Richard are stunned by these while Mei and Corey face him. In the clash, however, Mei is thrown to the ground and Corey impaled on a protruding iron; the monster then places one of his limbs on Mei's head and crushes it against the floor under Corey's helpless eyes and screams.

Trivia

• The Chinese word mei means "beautiful", or "admirable". The case is the same with the Japanese variation.
• Mei's and Jun's names seem to make a pun on the months, May and June. Whether or not this was intentional is currently unknown.
• According to the statement that Corey made, after he and Amy realize the infection spreads through unprotected intercourse, it would seem that he and Mei have had sex. This idea is pushed further later when Mei states that she knows Corey "inside and out".
• Mei's death in the dream sequence is similar to her actual death; In the dream, her head is eaten off by one of the creatures. In the warehouse, Kenny kills her by squashing her head.
• It is assumed that the bear keychains are a symbol for the twins' connection to one another, though it isn't actually explained in the game itself.
• Mei is the only main character that doesn't interact with all the other main characters in Obscure II due to her dying before Stan and Shannon show up, thus never interacting with them.
• Mei was the first main character in the series to die (with a confirmed death).
