Fallcreek University Hospital was a medical institution located in the City of Fallcreek.

Features

The hospital campus is located not far from the university. Modern and well-equipped, its staff seem to be highly qualified, specially when researching and treating the Mortifilia outbreak, although, it is relatively small. There are plenty of first aid kits, advanced medical equipment, and a few ambulances there. It also has a warehouse, which likely houses medical equipment and medicine for later use.

Fallcreek Outbreak

After seeing Jedidiah for the first time and being chased by harpies in the woods after finding his car, Corey and Amy find themselves in the back entrance of the hospital.

With no other way of entering, they have to climb up to the second floor and break a window to enter, where they find a walkie-talkie, with which they learn that Jun was killed by a monster and that Mei and Sven are coming to the hospital.

The group decides to meet on the ground floor, so Amy and Corey try to find a way out. They have to make their way through the hospital's second floor, fighting multiple Runners, Spider Biters and eventually encounter the first Breeder in the game. The get to a room and witness Kenny succumb to the Mortifilia in his blood, releasing a great amount of black spores.

Shannon, who was in the room with Kenny, tells them to run just before being covered with the spores, Corey and Amy run back to the end of the hallway, and get in the elevator, which is broken. Corey repairs it just in time before the spores reach them and they go down to the ground floor of the hospital, where they meet up with Professor James. Sven and Mei arrive after a while.

Taking Richard's advice, the group searches for chemicals to make a homemade explosive to destroy a weak wall. Behind it they find a warehouse, where they have to move around some boxes and climb some tall shelves to finally reach a door that leads them outside. As soon as the leave however, they are ambushed by a now mutated Kenny.  He knocks out Sven, Amy and the professor and engages in a battle with Corey and Mei, who manage to weaken him, but in retaliation, he throws Corey into a loose pipe which impales his abdomen, and then crushes Mei's skull. Corey now saddened and enraged, tries to get back in the fight, but is unable to do so due to being stuck on the pipe.

Stan and Shannon then arrive, armed, and after realizing that Kenny is no longer who he used to be, try to kill him. Kenny however manages to escape after being badly wounded.

Stan manages to get Corey off the pipe, who then mourns Mei's death and picks up her keychain., after that the group leaves the hospital in Stan's Van.

Trivia

• The hospital sign has a missing letter, making it look like it's says "Hospi-al".
• In the ambulance parking lot, there are 2 signs. One of them says "No Parking: Violators will be bitch slapped".
• Herbert West, one of the employees is a homage to the principal character of the classic film "Reanimator".
• Originally, the game was meant to play a cutscene showing off a woman mutating into the Breeder. This was likely cut due to budgetary reasons, but a sketch of the cutscene can be found in the extras menu of the PSP version.
• This is the only location in the game where every single main character is present in it, and even all at once at one point. In fact, right after Stan and Shannon defeat Kenny for the first time, the cut-scene shown is the only cut-scene in the game where every single main character is in it, even including Richard James (although Mei is actually dead in it but we can see her body).
  • Everybody is also present at the Delta Theta Gamma Frat House at some point, but Sven Hansen never actually goes inside the house like he does at the hospital. This means though that the hospital and the Delta Theta Gamma Frat House have the most characters able to go inside and explore, each with 6, only the hospital has more people inside of it at once over any other location at all, with 8.
